I am a PhD candidate in the School of Information Science at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. My academic interests lie in human-computer interaction and human factors research to ensure that customers are able to achieve their goals effectively, efficiently,
and enjoy their interaction with
computer interfaces. Currently, I investigate how people interact with online advertising and how different search behaviors affect their perception of banner ads. In addition, I am exploring the benefits of physiological measures, such as galvanic skin response and heart rate in web research. In the industry, I have worked as a User Experience/Human
Factors Researcher in a variety of applications: healthcare, mobile
communication, online marketing, chemical refineries, and more. My previous employers include: Honeywell, T-Mobile, and Google.
